The House of Lords: a view from inside UK Parliament’s second chamber

Thursday 10. June 2021, 19:00 - 21:00

On June 10, we will be joined by Rosanna Barry for a behind the scenes look at the House of Lords in 2021: its membership, powers and limits, and the challenges it faces as we look towards the UK’s future. Rosanna will pay special attention to the House’s work during the Brexit negotiations and its potential role in developing the UK’s bilateral relationships with European partners.
Rosanna joined the House of Lords Administration in 2017. She served as a policy advisor and then clerk to the EU Internal Market Committee. In 2019, she was appointed the House of Lords Representative to the EU and hosted by the European Parliament. Before joining the House of Lords, Rosanna worked on financial services regulation and policy for UBS bank in London. She is currently seconded to the Behavioural Insights Team, a research organisation part owned by the UK Government. Rosanna attended the Young Königswinter Conference in 2018 and is a member of the British-German Association. She has an undergraduate degree in physiological science and a master’s degree in public law.
