Presentation on Sustainability (German): Der Digitale Produktpass als Element der Kreislaufwirtschaft – Welche Folgen gibt es für die Verbraucherinnen und Verbraucher?
Friday 17. October, 19:00 - 20:30
The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is meant to document data according to the Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR), which follows the full life cycle of a product – from manufacturing and the matrix of materials to information whether a product can be repaired or is recyclable – and will be implemented as an EU-wide instrument from 2027.
Thus consumers gain transparency and easy access to information on the sustainabilty of the products they buy. For companies this offers opportunities such as products that can be recycled, Product as a Service, or more far-reaching offers for repairs. The DPP promotes recycling economy, efficiency in the use of resources and sustainable business models. The presentation will be in German.
