DESCRIPTION:The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is meant to document data according to the Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR)\, which follows the full life cycle of a product – from manufacturing and the matrix of materials to information whether a product can be repaired or is recyclable – and will be implemented as an EU-wide instrument from 2027.\nThus consumers gain transparency and easy access to information on the sustainabilty of the products they buy. For companies this offers opportunities such as products that can be recycled\, Product as a Service\, or more far-reaching offers for repairs. The DPP promotes recycling economy\, efficiency in the use of resources and sustainable business models. The presentation will be in German. \nThe speaker:\nDr. Dina Barbian is managing director of eco2050 Institut für Nachhaltigkeit – Institute for Sustainability GmbH (https://eco2050.de/) in Nuremberg. She teaches at many universites and has written a number of books and articles about interdisciplinary topics such as sustainability\, decarbonisation\, industry 5.0\, recycling economy and Artificial Intelligence.
