Restart: Perspectives on relations between Great Britain and the European Union

DBGN is a member of the Deutsche-Britische Gesellschaft, Berlin who have hosted the Königswinter conferences for some 50+ years. On May 21^st 2025 I took the opportunity to attend the 2025 conference’s plenary session. The breadth of topics summarised, together with announcements surrounding the UK-EU summit on 20^th May convinced me that these topics have to reach as broad an audience as possible. I invited Mr Thomas Matussek to speak about his experience in these topics and thus started the planning for the 19^th September 2025 event in Nürnberg.
In colaboration with Europa Union, Tobias Winkler MdB was engaged to participate in a podium discussion with Hr Thomas Matussek. The event was held in Caritas Pirkheimer Haus and all chairs in the … salon were occupied – an attendance of approximately 90 people.
